Robotics is increasingly present in our lives. In our homes, at work, in research, in industry... we increasingly rely on the help of automated systems that perform various tasks. There are different types of robots. The most important are autonomous robots. These do not require human interaction to function as they integrate various sensors (color, sound, light, etc.) to perform different tasks.
In this core it is possible to verify the operation of several robots and understand why it is so important for Man to master these new technologies.
Robots can perform countless tasks. Many of them can be very useful to us.
Mindstorms kits combine the traditional freedom of construction design of the LEGO brand with Electronics and IT, allowing motors to be controlled based on signals received from one or more color, touch, sound and ultrasound sensors – among others – to perform tasks such as avoiding obstacles, following a line drawn on the floor or reacting to sounds and colors. Robots are commonly used in industry, especially to perform more arduous and repetitive tasks, or those that are impossible for humans to perform – for example, disarming bombs. Of course, what each of us would really like is to have a robot that could cook or tidy our room. Right? Well, in this module, we show that there are already robots capable of performing some household tasks.
